  • The Queen of truffles

Description

The Black Winter Truffle is very well known in world’s cuisine and is considered as the Diamond of black truffles. This is the best and the most expensive truffle that you can find during the winter. And why is that?

First, it is very difficult to find and secondly its unique aromas. Its aroma is influenced by rainfall, the soil where they are harvested and frost. It is very difficult to describe the smell, however it is close to weed wet, humus, cockles and dried mushroom. Its taste is very nice and reminds black radish and cobnut yet it is distinctive and faintly bitter.

This black winter truffle has small pyramidal cusps and black-brown skin and the flesh is initially white, then dark. It is permeated by white veins which turn brown-red with age.
Our team hunt this truffle in oak and hazel forests where they can offer us the best aromas and taste!

Ambush yourself with this amazing truffle that has always something unique to smell and taste. You can grant the maximum of these truffles if you check our recipes here.
